- Boarding procedures
  Please arrive at the Otsu port 20 minutes prior to departure. Tell the ticket counter at the Otsu port that you have a reservation and your name. You will need to exchange your boarding ticket. After completing the boarding procedures, please relax in the waiting room until boarding begins. 10 minutes before departure, the boarding gate will open.

  Now it is time to start your cruise on the Michigan. The Michigan, a paddle steamer with a bright red paddle, will take your breath away.

  From the Sky Deck on the 4th Floor of the boat, you can encounter a panoramic view of Lake Biwa. Please enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Biwa.

  The Michigan is full of photo spots. The ship has an extraordinary theme, with gorgeous interior including luxurious carpets and chandeliers that any photo you take can turn into to a piece of art. We also recommend the observation room where you can see the wheelhouse. We also have trick art exhibitions on the 4th Floor. In addition, the Michigan, which is also known as Japan’s first lover’s sacred place as a ship, has a “hidden heart mark” somewhere!!
